Our Story
ALIMA BELLO (formerly Bello|Edu) was founded in 2014 with a simple belief: your wardrobe should be as considered as the rest of your life. What began as a vision to redefine everyday essentials has grown into a collection built on individuality, craftsmanship, and longevity.
How We Work
Every piece is made in Ghana, start to finish. Our fabrics come from women-owned enterprises here in Ghana, who source dead stock textiles from Asia, the Middle East, and Europe — giving quality material a second life rather than letting it go to waste.
For our signature pieces, we go further: working directly with weavers in Ghana's Northern and Ashanti regions, we create custom-woven fugu and kente fabrics. Textiles rooted in generations of craft, made specifically for our collections. This is where our commitment to sustainability becomes tangible. Not just a philosophy, but a supply chain built on local partnership, reduced waste, and traditional technique.
Who We Make This For
We design for the woman who wants her clothes to say something true about her — pieces with enough personality to feel like hers, and enough quality to last. Every ALIMA BELLO piece is made to be worn, re-worn, and eventually passed on.
